                              Bull Temple (Dodda Basavanna Temple)
 


This 16th century temple is named after the Grey granite sacred bull, Nandi that is carved out of a single granite block. It measures 4.57 meters. in height and 6.10 meters in length. The temple is a classic example of Dravidian architecture. A yearly festival to celebrate the harvesting of peanuts, (Kallekai parse) is held here during the month of Nov-Dec. which attracts large crowds from all over the state.
